All of us at Str8 Shots are zealous advocates in finding a cure for cancer. We decided to join forces with several well known cancer foundations to form “Shoot For A Cure”.  We have watched loved ones battle this deadly disease for a very long time. We are happy that several of them are now in remission but sadly too many people we love continue to battle this disease daily. We mourn the loss of our loved ones to breast, colon, stomach, lung and prostate cancer.

“Shoot For A Cure” was developed as a way for billiard and dart players to support the cure and play the game they are passionate about; while still being able to educate others about cancer. We are eager to help in any way we can to find a cure for cancer. We also want to support those that are fighting the disease, help educate people about both the external and internal factors that cause cancer, and teach people how early detection can and does save lives!

We believe educating others is the key to saving lives. One way to do that is to share our personal journeys. We would love for those of you that are currently fighting cancer, have gone into remission,  have a loved one that has battled or is still battling the deadly disease, or someone you love has been taken by cancer, to share about that journey. To do this go to “The Journey” page of our site and click the “Share Your Journey” button below the type of cancer you would like to share about. Then submit your story and we will add it to the site. We never know how what we share will impact the live of another at the moment when it is most needed.
